RARITY
FRACTAL
EQUATIONS
TERRAIN NFTs come in a variety of 10 unique fractal equations. However, there are 9 different kinds of Julia Sets that included under the "Julia" umbrella. Each NFT will have a description on OpenSea with information including the location of the fractal segment and more specifics.
DEPTH
TERRAIN NFTs are discovered at 11 distinct depths. These depths are all relative to how large the original fractal would be when magnified, starting at a base size of 10 x 10 inches (or as we say - "Laptop"). For example, an NFT with the depth Luxembourg required the originating fractal to be blown up to 51 x 51 miles in size to reveal the resulting "10 x 10 inch" segment.
COLORWAYS &
BACKGROUNDS
TERRAIN NFTs may come in a variety of 50 different colorways. These gradients are hand-selected from the Python libraries - matplotlib, colorcet and cmocean. More detail regarding rarity will be available on OpenSea. The vast majority of backgrounds are unique procedurally generated image of nebulas, each with one of 9 dominant color schemes. There is also a background variety that was initially the result of a programming error, but can only be described as 'TRIPPY.'
ROTATIONAL PATHS
TERRAIN NFTs are one and a half minute video renderings that twist and turn and loop perfectly back to the beginning. OpenSea is unable to handle files larger than 100mb, so the version available there will be in 1080p HD. However, there are 4K versions also tied to the metadata of each NFT - details on how to access these will be released post-mint. There are 4 rotational paths that the models may follow which are included below.
GRANULARITY
SCORE
TERRAIN NFTs include a range of granularity deduced to a score from 1-10. The granularity score simply indicates the level of detail present in each model through mathematical evaluation. It is not an exact science, but the methodology to calculate this was invented by Lucid Chaos. Do not be discouraged by obtaining a fractal model with a low score, all Terrain NFTs are mesmerizing and beautiful art pieces - and are quite literally one in infinity.
